If you know us, it’s no secret that we love, love, love cereal, but we all know that cereal isn’t really the healthiest choice. So, if we’re feeling like having cereal but want to make a healthier choice, we make muesli. It’s super simple and quick. You can make it ahead of time and store it in a jar or container of your choice until you’re ready to use it. We make many versions of muesli, but here’s one of our latest iterations.
Note: This recipe can be scaled up or down to suit the number of servings desired.
Equipment
A bowl or jar, if storing for later
Spoon
Ingredients
1/2 cup Gluten free certified oatmeal (we love this one from Bob’s Red Mill)
1 to 2 Tablespoons sliced almonds (or other nuts of your choosing)
1 to 2 Tablespoons of dried currants
1 to 2 Tablespoons of raisins
Milk of your choosing (In the above picture, we used organic, grass-fed whole milk)
Method
Add the above ingredients to a bowl. Let the milk sit in the mixture for as long as you like to get the consistency you prefer.
Enjoy!
